Ragdoll cat paintings that I'm selling
So I decided to do a series of paintings to sell, as I'm a little bit low on money. I decided on ragdolls, as I have a ragdoll cat right here, and it was a good excuse to do some feline studies- I must get a cat skeleton when we have a bigger place... I've sold one of these paintings, the blue one- I'm hoping that I sell some more. I've done them as mixed media, with ink, graphite, coloured pencils and watercolour.
You can purchase a painting here- https://www.etsy.com/shop/KitchenCrawlies

Recommit to women's liberation
I've redone this idea. I'm also submitting it to Illustration Friday, as I think this fits in well with the theme of 'strong', conceptually, both in the literal and figurative sense. Obviously, there's some strength involved in lifting up a giant heel! Also, with the pressure that women have to live up to (even now) to fulfil stereotypes associated with our sex/ gender.
This was, originally drawn on A2 (even though my poor little scanner is only A3 :-( ). I want to draw bigger!

T-shirt design
Designed with Adobe Illustrator- I think I've (for the most part) got the hang of the pen tool; it took a few sessions of seriously fiddling around, but you know, I think I'm there. Of course, everything can be improved (and I intend to have many more fiddling around sessions during spare time), but I think that I'm happy with this. It helps to have more graphic looking images in my folio- I hope that I get the chance to design some logos!

Illustration Friday
the topic this week is 'Path', I've chosen to illustrate hopscotch, and I've set myself the challenge of using cheap copier paper, as this will take less punishment in the way of an eraser. Since I can rub out a lot less I either have to select what I want to disappear very carefully, or 'celebrate' my mistakes, as it were. Back in art college one tutor kept on mentioning this. Maybe I'll go back to it and produce a coloured version if I have time before Friday.

Racoon Rodeo
More of a side-note joke with a fellow tweeter, but here we go- a cowboy riding a raccoon. Created with pen, ink and Photoshop CS5.

little girl sketch
Sketching some more children this afternoon. This is based on the front cover of the Green Parent magazine for Christmas 2014. I've tried changing up the eyes and nose on my people- I think that this looks better!
Highland Cow
Finished highland cow portrait; I think that this one was Lady Alma. If memory serves, they named her after a character from Downtown Abby. If you need a fun (and FREE) day out, take a trip to Pollock park and watch them wash a cow.
