Fox, Friday, For God's Sake I have to get up tomorrow.
So yes, Royal Exchange Square tomorrow and Sunday- I am PRAYING (to a God that I do not believe in) that the weather stays clear, at least long enough for me to make a bit of profit (which I desperately need! Oh business...

Ragdoll pattern
This is a pattern that I've been working on and off at for a while. At first I couldn't decide on the effect that I wanted to go with, I played around a little with pencil and ink, but in the end decided to take my sketches and make vector drawings out of them. I am hoping, if all goes well, to make a skirt out of this design.

So apparently I didn't post this on my blog
A foxy water colour that I made back in December- the painting's available in my shop (I also have some Giclee prints, but they're not in there yet).

The Moomins
I'm rereading Moomin On the Rivera today. Having recently had my faith in humanity crushed, it's great how reading something cute and kind of goofy can make you feel better again. My mind is also ticking with work- I have so much to do, I can't afford distractions!

Illustration Friday- Wood
I made this pattern a while ago, but I thought that it might be relevant to this week's Illustration Friday topic- wood. A pattern that I made based on British woodland creatures. You can also find it on a number of accessories in my shop here
Sewing up my purses
So I've been making up some more purses from my fabric- this one's a foxy one. I still need to work on the speed of my production, as they're taking about 40 minutes to machine sew, and then a further hour or two to sew the frame onto the body (this does make them extra sturdy though, as opposed to using glue). I'm also struggling with actually SELLING the things, although people do say that they like them, so I'm hoping to start shifting some soon. If anyone's interested, I'm selling them here as well as at events that I go to (the next one will be Granny Would Be Proud at the Hillhead bookclub).
Oh, and there's a Prince's Trust event that I'll be going to soon- I HOPE to get some interest from that. Fingers crossed!

Illustration Friday- Tool
I know it's a bit corny, but I want to take part in Illustration Friday each week, perhaps if I have some spare time, I might come up with something a little more refined this week.

Illustration Friday- Sparkle
I think that I've done this just in time. The topic this/ last week was sparkle- in this illustration, I chose to focus on the ironic diamond industry, that sparkly rock on your finger could be the reason why someone in Sierra Leon is missing their hands (and fingers).
All that glitters (or sparkles) is not gold.
It was one of the many reasons that I asked my fiance NOT to get me a diamond ring- the thought of it makes me feel a little sick.
All that glitters (or sparkles) is not gold.

Illustration Friday WIP
This weeks topic is/ was 'sparkle', and I don't know if I'm going to finish this before the topic changes, so here's the WIP. Basically, when I thought 'sparkle' I thought 'diamonds' and the cruel irony that someone might be missing their hands so that you can have something sparkly on your finger. A bit dark, I know, but we in the west are so sheltered from the realities of our meagre luxuries. If I finish this before the topic changes I'll upload it to IF

So I made some new versions of my "cat person" button badge
In hindsight, maybe I should have got a ragdoll in there, but maybe next time... and people who like ragdolls are still 'cat people', are they not? It's just a reminder of the balance between the time that I have and what I need to do with it. Speaking of which, I also got featured last Sunday in FloppyCats- Moomin is also applying to be cat of the week. Horrah! I now have a Facebook page for my Little Ragdoll Cat shop, which is here https://www.facebook.com/LittleRagdollCat/
Hopefully some day (soon) it will be a physical shop. Fingers crossed!
