My great grandfather's paints

These are some old (almost 100 year old, in fact) oil paints that my mother *ahem* inherited from my great grand father- Lt. Cnl. Graham Seton Hutchison.
I really love the way that the paint has crystalised over time- it's something that you really don't see all that often.

I have another card design

So I'd been toying with this little idea for a while, and when I finally got around to getting it printed, I reluctantly couldn't have an actual heart in the photoshoot, partly because (somewhat ironically) being a vegetarian and not owning a dog I couldn't think of an appropriate way to dispose of it once I was done, and I think I'd also be a little too scared to have that much blood so close to my greeting cards.

Still, I quite like the way it turned out. If you like what I do, please consider supporting me by purchasing a greetings card with this design on it here

Oranges!

I also came up with a pattern (it's taken me roughly 2 days to complete (amongst a couple of other things). I actually did the lineart for these as little still life drawing exercises from a basket of clementines that we get in our weekly shop- they're surprisingly well packaged for ASDA. I ate them afterwards, of course. I am considering making little coin purses out of the fabric some time soon.

I am currently making my partner an orange flavoured birthday cake with dark chocolate and orange zest- it's experimental, so I hope it turns out ok!

D&AD

This is the first page that I'm working on for a D&AD brief. The guy that came and did the crits today said that he liked the idea, and I just need to shift around with the formats and stuff- I wanted to  do a comic, he thought that it might work more as a children's book type thing- here's hoping that I have time! Also hoping to get some crabbing in there... Probably won't have time though.
